Amy Northup

Associate Artistic Director

Amy was raised all over the country in National Parks, her family having followed her Dad's career as a park ranger and finally settled down in New York in 2008. She has been a proud member of Animus since before its inaugural production, and now serves as the Associate Artistic Director. With Animus, she has been featured in John Patrick Shanley's Where's My Money? (Natalie), Pericles: Prince of Tyre (Taisa, Dyoniza, and Bawd), and Dutch Heart of Man (Florence). She also served as Assistant Director to Matthew Lillard in Animus' Tennessee Williams Short Plays. Other favorite roles include Vanda in Venus In Fur, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, Maggie in After The Fall and a short film she starred in called The Red, directed by Antonio Campos of Borderline films (Martha Marcy May Marlene, Simon Killer).

Amy was recently featured alongside Ben Foster in a reading of Shanley's Sailor's Song, directed by Paul Schneider. She can be seen in the upcoming Eli Roth produced webseries Violet.
